Being a wildlife lover, Safari in the Jhalana forest gave me an opportunity to explore a new place, a
place that lies next to the Malviya Industrial Area and works as lungs for the city of Jaipur. I visited
this place in winters and was mesmerized by the golden look of the hills which happened due to the
drying small shrubs.
Jhalana Leopard Safari give experience of place is rich in wildlife with many mammals, reptiles and birds which can be easily sighted during
the safari. The forest is mainly known for its leopard population with around 18-23 in number,
making it easier to spot at least one during the safari. In our case, we spotted 2 leopards during our 3
hour long safari. First we saw “Prince”, who dominates the western hills of the forest, followed by
the sight of a female leopard Both are king of Jhalana Leopard Safari
In addition to the leopards, we also saw one hyena, the second most popular animal of the forest
with a total count of 5. During the safari, we spotted few other animals like Blue Bull, Sambhar,
Langoor and Spotted Deer. In reptiles, we got to see few snakes and a monitor lizard. The place also
gives you sight of different birds. We spotted Jungle Owlet, Indian Falcon, Fruit Bat, Spotted Owlet
and many others.
